About All About Creatures
All About Creatures is an independent, non-profit-oriented wildlife encyclopedia dedicated to providing the most scientifically accurate, comprehensive, and engaging information about the animal kingdom.
Our Mission
With biodiversity facing unprecedented pressure from climate change, habitat fragmentation, and poaching, public education is our first line of defense. We believe that when people understand the intricate intelligence, social lives, and ecological value of wildlife, they are far more likely to advocate for conservation.
Our Editorial Standards & Fact-Checking
Unlike generalist content sites that rewrite second-hand articles, every species profile on All About Creatures is checked against primary scientific literature:
- IUCN Red List of Threatened Species: All conservation statuses, population trends, and threats are cross-referenced directly with active IUCN assessments.
- CITES Databases: Trade restrictions and appendix listings (Appendix I, II, III) are monitored for every species.
- Peer-Reviewed Literature: Life cycle measurements, dietary records, and cognitive research are sourced from indexed zoological and avian journals (e.g., Animal Cognition, Journal of Zoology).
Editorial Team
Our articles and data profiles are written and reviewed by zoologists, wildlife biologists, and scientific researchers committed to accuracy and rigor.
